A Canadian band Arcade Fire has collaborated with Google Labs to produce The Wilderness Downtown, an interactive music video designed for Google Chrome browser. Visitors to the site are invited to enter the address where they grew up to allow the film to incorporate geopersonalised footage from Google Street View. Very interesting concept and the interactive film is designed to showcase the capabilities of HTML5, opening several windows at a time and allowing for user contribution. Be sure to check it out !!

Burger King agrees to sale for $3.3 Billion

Burger King Holdings Inc agreed to sell itself to investment firm 3G Capital for $3.26 billion, giving the No. 2 U.S. fast-food chain breathing room to fix its business and close the gap with leader McDonald’s Corp. The sale, worth about $4 billion including debt, is expected to close in the last three months of 2010. Burger King has until October 12 to solicit a richer offer from other buyers.

Bono and Ali Hewson in Louis Vuitton campaign

Louis Vuitton has teamed up with ethical fashion line Edun, fronted by U2 lead singer Bono and his wife Ali Hewson in a print advertisement shot by photographer Annie Leibovitz. Bono and Alison are shown emerging from a small plane on an African grassland, with the tag line, “Every Journey Begins in Africa”. Instead of Vuitton, the two wear Edun, the ethical clothing label they founded in 2005 to encourage trade with Africa, and in which LVMH took a 49 percent stake last year. Hewson carries a handbag co-designed by Edun and Vuitton that comes dangling with a special charm, Louis Vuitton’s first made-in-Africa product.

Gamers and Film fanatics, Xbox and Bungie Studios are intensifying their campaigns to launch Halo Reach with a new set of live-action advertisements featuring films by Noam Murro. The campaign, started with “Birth of a Spartan”, it includes four online films about the day before the Covenant attack and now includes “Deliver Hope”, the dramatic third act.
